“CTC Coventry Centenary – Celebrating our first 100 years…and building a Club fit for our next 100”
In 2021 the Club will be marking its 100th Anniversary. To celebrate this auspicious milestone the Club is organising a wide range of Special Events and undertaking a number of Birthday Activities
This document is intended to guide you through what is being planned and act as a central point where you can find out more informatoin and maybe order tickets for events or apply to join activities.

Transport Museum Cycling Exhibition |
Our Club willl be a major contributor to a Cycling Exhibition organised by the Transport Museum. Additionally to support the goal of the display we are likely to be running some 5-mile and 10-mile rides to encourage new cyclists.

Sunday 11th April | Club Anniversary Sunday Ride

These Sunday rides will celebrate the Club’s Inaugural ride back in 1921 by starting at the Transport Museum and passing through Fillongley. We’d really appreciate a really strong turn-out from as many Riders as possible. |
13th–23rd April | Centenary Overseas Tour to Mallorca |
This is a fixed centre tour based on the island of Mallorca. The island is a mecca for Cyclists and Walkers of all standards and capabilities. There will be a range of options for Day Rides,Walks and Sightseeing
The tour will be a jet2holiday package including Birmingham flights, transfers, and accommodation at the Pollensa Park Hotel in Puerto Pollenca. The offer is for a 10 day duration however participants can book for part of the period or even to extend their time. This is an event to jointly celebrate the simultaneous 100th Birthdays of CTC Coventry, War Memorial Park and the Meriden Service

South Downs Single Centre Long Weekend Tour |
A Long weekend, Friday to Monday, single centre based ‘tour’ with four day rides (with long and shorter options each day) around the new South Downs National Park.

Sunday 6th June | 100 mile Centenary Ride | A ride to push yourself for ! The route will be :- Binley Woods –Warmington -Little Woolford – Charlecote and then returning to Binley Woods.

Mid June (Provisional) | Centenary UK tour from York to Edinburgh | A moving on tour carrying your own luggage covering approx 325 miles over 7 days at around 45 miles per day The route starts at York and travels through North York Moors, Durham, Northumberland, Berwick, Melrose and then ends in Edinburgh.

Womens Festival of Cycling 2021 |
A follow-on to the very successful Women’s Festival held by us in 2020

6th – 8th August | Centenary Womens Tour to Oxfordshire and Worcestershire |
A short moving on tour carrying your own luggage over three days passing through some gorgeous countryside, pretty villages and an optional stop in Stratford-on-Avon.
Covering 40-50 miles each day. Accommodation is likely to use the Premier Inn and Travelodge in Banbury and Evesham. Organiser – Vicky Palethorpe |
Sunday 12th September | 100 km Centenary Challenge ride | If you normally do just the shorter rides then maybe this is something to challenge yourself !
