Bike Week 2021 is a national initiative to encourage more people to get involved with cycling. It runs from May 30th –June 6th 2021. This video from our Club Secretary Vicky Palethorpe introduces Bike Week 2021 for CTC Coventry
As a club we will be running a set of activities to especially welcome and encourage New Riders, and give them an opportunity to give cycling a go in an informal relaxed and safe manner.
This is our Bike Week Programme in detail –
STARTER RIDES – On Sunday 30th May we will be running two ‘Starter’ rides – a “Starter for 5” ride meeting at 10am over 5 miles, and for those looking to improve their riding a “Starter for 10” ride meeting at 10.30am over the slightly longer 10 miles. Chose which one suits you best !
FAMILY RIDES – On Tuesday 1st June we will be running two “Family Rides” around 3 miles. Both rides will begin with a ‘Doctor Bike‘ session to look at your bikes and check that they are roadworthy, and offer you some advice on bike maintenance. The First group will meet up at 9.30am (riding off at 10.30) and the Second group will meet at 10.30am (riding off at 11.30)
WOMEN ONLY EVENING STARTER RIDE -On Thursday 3rd June meeting up at 6.30pm our Womens Group will be running a 10 mile ride open only to Women.
STARTER RIDES – Then on Saturday 5th June we will give you another chance to have a go at a “Starter for 5” ride meeting at 10am or a “Starter for 10” ride meeting at 10.30am.
All the rides meetup at Stoke Aldermoor Life Centre, Roundhouse Road, CV3 1DA
