Start Point Distance Route
Coundon

Nugget Pub

4 miles Coundon to Coundon Wedge

https://www.plotaroute.com/route/1479601?units=miles

The starting point, The Nugget pub, will soon be well connected to the city centre via the Coundon Cycleway (currently under construction).
This short route will take you along quiet lanes of Coundon Wedge and challenge your legs on a couple of hills (follow it in anti clockwise direction for easier accents !!). Take a few stops along the way to look at horses, beautiful old trees, a pond and some stunning views.
Advice: Dismount your bike and take care when crossing the busy Coundon Wedge Drive, especially near the roundabout (use pedestrian crossing). Stay on the well indicated green Cycling lane on Holyhead Road.
We always strongly recommend that you wear a cycling helmet.
Coundon

Nugget Pub

10 miles Coundon to Corley Moor

https://www.plotaroute.com/route/1479607?units=miles

The starting point, The Nugget pub, will soon be well connected to the city centre via the Coundon Cycleway (currently under construction).
This route may surprise you how quickly you can get out of the city into beautiful countryside.
The route will give your legs a good work out on the way up to Corley Moor. Once there, you can take a well deserved break with some refreshments at either The Bull and Butcher or The Red Lion pub (subject to Covid-19 restrictions). Enjoy the non-stop downhill on your way back to Allesley. The Elkin Wood is one of the best places to enjoy the Blue Bells in May.
Advice: Dismount your bike and take care when crossing the busy Coundon Wedge Drive, especially near a roundabout (use pedestrian crossing). Stay on well the indicated green Cycling lane on Holyhead Road.
We always strongly recommend to wear a cycling helmet.
