3 day introduction to Long Distance Offroad touring …a chance to sample the joys and challenges of Long Distance Offroad Touring, such as you would find on the King Alfreds Way or West Kernow Way, before you make the full scale commitment to do one of these rides.
It will be fun to do on its own or to act as a “toe-in-the-water” to give people a controlled way to get prepare for long distance offroad bike packing. There will be one day on the easy Downslink track route, one challenging climbing-focused day on the South Downs, and a tough day back to the start of the KAW route. Staying in hotels or campsites (if you are thinking of doing any of the long trips using your tent!) Contact – Alan Jelley |

On Sunday we’ll ride out westwards from Coventry to Stratford YHA hostel for 1 night, then cycle home on Monday. Rides will of up to 40 miles each day. The hostel has private en-suite rooms from ~£39. They serve meals, and there is a great pub nearby.

New Forest
Single Centre – Offroad 2/3/4 Day options Alan Jelley

Using the many offroad options to cycle through the woodland and heathland of the New Forest. Rides starting from Burley and with the default accommodation option being Burley YHA.
3 day rides to the North, Central and East parts of the New Forest……and a 4th day option to ferry over to the IoW to do the offroad track to the Needles with a further option, after the ferry back, to ride along the Salterns between Lymington and Keyhaven. Could be done as Weekend, 3-day Long Weekend or 4-day Long Weekend. |

Come with me and ride the classic Sea-to-Sea (C2C) route 142 miles from Whitehaven to Sunderland in September 2022. We will do it as a ‘moving on’ tour staying in hostels along the way. |

Day 1 – We will take train to Stafford and ride to Shrewsbury Day 2 – We will ride from Shrewsbury to Cannock via Iron bridge Day 3 – We will ride from Cannock via Lichfield back to to CoventryStaying at Premier Inns in Shrewsbury and Cannock. |
