Becoming a ‘Stronger’ cyclist

“Becoming a becoming a ‘stronger’ cyclist is one of many common but ambiguous goals for many looking to improve. Aside from the obvious ‘increasing the time spent in the saddle’, there are numerous resources that can help give you some evidence based support on how to improve your cycling ability based on any goals you may have such as preparing for a sportive, longer rides, getting faster, or just improving and maintaining good health. If in doubt always seek the guidance of your GP first.

Indoor training (freeride & Structured) is an option for those unable to cycle outdoors for any given reason. These apps are particularly useful in the colder months where general poor weather and ice can make it dangerous or unpleasant to go outdoors! Below is a subset of the current platforms that are available.

Getting up the hills. This can be very personal and in the end, just try your best and there is no shame in walking up the hill!
