ORGANISING INTO GROUPS

Each ten-rider group will have a dedicated Leader and a Back Marker. You won’t need a physical map, but we strongly advise downloading the route onto a navigation device or a fully charged mobile phone. Of course, you are always welcome to carry a paper map if you prefer.

THE ROUTE

The route is a circular route using some of our favourite lanes in the area.

The route can be viewed here: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/3254855?units=km

The intended  route is a subject to change due to possible HS2 road closures. The final version will be sent via email one week before the event.

Off-Road Sections:
The route includes two short unpaved sections to keep things interesting. The first is a 2 km stretch at the 48 km mark, and the second is a 3 km stretch at the 71 km mark. Both sections follow narrow country lanes with a changing mix of hard-packed sand, soil, and both loose and hard gravel. Keep an eye out for cattle gates and grids along these segments.

Assistance Vehicle

There will be an assistance vehicle available throughout the event – apart from the Offroad sections – to deal with any incidents that cannot be handled beside the road.
