Guidelines for Riding with Us

Participation on our rides

  • If you are a Cycling UK member, you may join our rides by arriving at the published place and start time. However, it makes arrangements easier (e.g. booking refreshment stops) if you email the leader in advance; you will also receive a copy of the route and any last minute changes that might be necessitated.
  • If you are not a Cycling UK member and are new to riding with us, then please email our New Rider Contact who will send you a description of our rides and ask for the details that our insurers require.
  • We ask all riders to either carry a club ICE (In Case of Emergency) card (ask your ride leader for one) with emergency contact info or to store this data on your phone. Information about the ICE system and how to set it up on Android and Apple phones can be seen here
  • There will be a voluntary collection of £1 per head for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Service on all rides. So far this year we have collected over £450. We appreciate that many people do not carry cash with them and would find it easier to set up a standing order, or pay a lump sum – it’s quite important that this is done through the Club by emailing the Treasurer.
  • Women’s Pop-up Rides: these usually take place on Wednesday or Thursday. For more information, please email women@coventryctc.org.uk
  • Rugby CTC RidesRugby CTC is an informal group that usually rides on Wednesdays from villages around Rugby. For contact details and their runs list, click here.

Rides for the next 4 weeks can be viewed here. Please note this a working document and may be subject to change without notice.
